A Last Supper Table
A Last Supper Table

We met in a little corner bistro on the banks of the Thames. More the setting for a romantic evening than a clandestine exchange, but what did I know. It was my first time at this cloak and dagger stuff, and so I figured I'd let her take the lead. In any case, far be it from me to turn down a nice dinner. Since it turned out to be my last, I have to say, I could have done worse.

This is a personal piece I created for my advanced concept art students as an example of how the design of ordinary props can help to support the narrative of a story. These elements describe the aftermath of some event. Even without the characters or the context you can begin get clues as to what might have happened.
